More than anything that I have learned over the last two decades learning more about the body, it’s that everything is connected. You may have heard multiple times that there is a gut-brain connection or that our thoughts can affect our overall wellbeing. Another prime example is our hormones. If you listen to any podcast or read any book on hormones, you might hear this phrase, “nobody talks about hormones! We need to normalize talking about hormones.” In this phase of life, I do not identify! It seems that all my girlfriends and I talk about is hormones! Perimenopause! Menopause! Consider this a warning that I will refer to this subject often.

There are so many ways or body affects our hormones and vice versa, however, in this post I wanted to share something I learned very recently that blew my mind and connected a lot of dots about what I have been experiencing over the last few years.
